My Little Heavy Weights

An update to yesterday's doctors visit...

We had another bio-physical and both babes passed.
Their diaphragms were practicing away, their reflexes were strong.

We also had them measured for a weight estimate. They measure their heads, bellies (oh those cute bellies!) and their femur bones. The computer then estimates their weight. Wyatt is estimated to weigh 6 pounds, 6 ounces and Evi is estimated at 6 pounds, 5 ounces. CRAZY!

The technician said, 'you have 12 pounds of baby in there'. I corrected her to 12 1/2 pounds...please, give me the credit I'm due! Dr. G doesn't think they will pass 7 pounds for their birth weight. Twins tend to plateau towards the end...thank goodness. I feel like I'm walking around with almost 13 pounds of baby. I may not look like it, but my back reminds me every day of the laws of gravity happening here.

My blood pressure is perfect...110 over 70
I can't even have high blood pressure to make these babies come earlier.

I've gained 41 pounds and Dr. G said I'll loose about 30 of that immediately after surgery. I'm all baby and still don't look pregnant from the back, no swelling and I have two really tiny stretch marks that have popped up right above my appendectomy scare (at least the scares are staying in the same vicinity as each other).

I've begged, pleaded, I've said everything possible to convince Dr. G I'm ready to go and he should take me early. Nope. He's holding ground. I'm measuring at 47 weeks. Yep, that's right folks, for those singleton pregnancies who are measuring right on track for their 40 weeks, imagine measuring 2 months past due. Frankly, I'm lucky. This 5' 10" frame hides and carries it well, but Evi has found a new playground...
my rib cage.

My final check up and bio-physical ultrasound is Wednesday of next week. We're holding our breath we don't go in to labor this Friday to next Friday because my fabulous Dr. is heading to Hawaii for Spring Break. The nerve! lol...
