Wyatt's first bath. (No he didn't just get one, it's just taken me awhile to post some pictures!) They both love baths which is a huge relief. I'm looking forward to some splashing wars between the two of them and the ever so important question as to why they don't look the same
"down there".
I love this shot...my little Ewalk.
I would have posted a picture of myself and Evelyn, but in every picture she's wailing away...pretty standard in this household right now.I'm trying to stay sane, but honestly Evi screams about 8 hours out of every 12. She DOES NOT nap during the day (breaks my heart). I don't know what to do. We've tried every quick fix the Ped has suggested, but I'm beginning to think she needs to grow out of it. Will she grow out of it? Have you sat in a room with a newborn screaming for 2 hours straight? Let me tell ya, it's a bit like fingernails on a blackboard. Nothing consoles her...nothing, except a bottle which she demands every two hours.
{{sigh}}
I'll get through it....

Simply adorable pictures! You have two gorgeous children!
I love the dressed up picture!
Do you have a Baby Bjorn? Have you tried putting Evi to sleep in one? It worked wonders for both of my kids! I swear by them!
Oh she currently wails when I put her in one. To the point where she starts to choke. I feel so helpless! If I walk around for a little over an hour she will doze off but the minute I put her down she wakes up which is odd because we have been very aware of not starting this habit so I don't know where she gets it from.
Do you have a swing? My kids didn't love them but my nephews did. There were times, with Hannah, that I would stand in the bathroom with the water running and it would work....go figure. I am so sorry to hear that it is difficult. I so wish I had the funds to hop on a plane and give you some help. What about one of the pouch, sling things? Call me if you just need to vent. I love you and I will be praying for all of you!
so precious! not sure you're open to it but chiropractic helped my sister-in-laws daughter. my chiro in EP is excellent with children (has 4 of his own) and has been adjusting jade from 5 days old. . .might be worth a shot. love ya, cara
Oh, Lex, sounds like Colic. I would say poor Evi, but I must say, POOR YOU! Ironically my friend's daughter, Evelyn, had it too. It was unnerving. She would just put headphones on and go on a walk with the Bjorn while Evy screamed away! But, she had one, not two babies to care after. I'm so sorry, that's a tough one. She will grow out of it and be a very very happy girl.
My suggestion, try the chiropractor. Sounds scary, but from what I have heard and read, it actually ends colic (sometimes with just one small adjustment). If you try it, let me know how it works!
Both of my boys were adjusted after birth just to make sure they were aligned, as you can imagine, being crammed in there for all that time. Carter needed slight adjusting, but Everett didn't need any. Just my suggestion, trying to help. Big giant hugs to you, what a curve ball, huh?
oh, and gorgeous babies AND outfits. :-)
Bee Hive- good suggestion with the chiropractor. I have a nieghbor that did that with her 7wk. old and it worked.
This phase will pass. It seems like you will be stuck here forever, but you wont. Praying for some relief!
