I tell ya, finding the time in my day to post has been very difficult lately!
We are all doing well! Wyatt is now just over 9 pounds and our Evelyn is 8 1/2! It's hard to believe tomorrow they will be one month old. I'm already having visions of them leaving for college. I know this will all pass before my eyes quicker than I expect.
Evelyn has been doing better with her colic.
We have tried SO many formulas it's actually absurd:
Similac
Similac Organic
Similac Sensitive
Enfamil
Emfamil (for colic)
Good Start
We've decided to go back to Similac Sensitive after trying the Good Start and having the most horrid bowel movements to clean up. Goodness...when I say our house smelled like crap, it literally smelled like crap long after the diaper was disposed of. Not only that, it did not dissolve well. Basically, I'm not a fan a Good Start. She did rather well on the Similac Sensitive formula so we're back on that and she seems to be able to relax after feedings.
Adding the Rice Cereal (2 scoops to the 4 ounces they eat) has seemed to help extend their rest period for their night feed. We feed them around 10:30 or 11pm and they sleep until 3:30 or 4am. Getting those 3 1/2 to 4 hours of sleep helps Jason and I immensely. Yeah for Rice Cereal!...and they LOVE it. Our feeds usually take us 30-45 minutes, but when they have their mixed bottle it's gone in 15 minutes. I shouldn't be surprised, our kids love food just like we do!
I'm feeling great these days. At two weeks I was fitting back into my normal clothes. That was a bit of a self esteem boost. I'm excited the weather is turning Summer and my jogs and routine can start up again outside. I am looking for a new bathing suit however, the stretch mark fairy happened to strike in my final week of pregnancy. It's not terrible, but enough to make me self conscience.
Jason is thriving at his new job and being an amazing dad. This morning Evi was looking at me and Jason walked into the room and said her name and she completely turned her head stared at him. She hadn't done that before and it was the cutest thing.
Hey, it's the little things right?
I promised more pictures!
