17 Weeks Already???

Whew! It has been a busy weekend. We've been getting things ready for the Winter. Saturday we treated ourselves to breakfast at the Original Pancake House. (Jason would go there every morning if he could). We then headed off to replace some outside lighting at my parents house, then off to the Goodwill to drop off a load of donations, then to Home Depot where we picked up two wood blinds: one for the nursery and one for the guest room. After all the errands it was time to head home and rake the last of the Fall leaves. I helped with the front yard...well, not really, Jason wouldn't let me do any of the work. But I stood out there nonetheless...a glorious 35 degrees. As Jason tackled the backyard, I was busy with clearing out a closet and deciding what to keep and what to toss and I cleaned three of our bathrooms (nesting starting early?). After all that, we stayed in. I cooked pesto pasta with shrimp and nestled in on the couch.

Sunday we started early again. Jason made breakfast sandwiches...they are soooo good. We stored the patio furniture, dumped some potted plants, stored the hoses, cleared out another closet, installed the wonderful wood blinds in the two rooms. Last but not least, we just had to make a quick trip to the market for some PINEAPPLE. Geez....I can't seem to eat enough fruit and pineapple is constant craving (it's going to be an expensive Winter).

17 weeks has come quickly. I can't believe one more week and we're halfway there. This week the babies skeletons are turning from cartilage to bone and the umbilical cords are growing stronger and thicker. They are 5 inches long from head to toe. I've gained two more pounds this weeks, making the total 7 pounds. I look like I've gained more, but Dr. G said it's all going to straight to the babies. I've attached the latest belly pic. I actually have people asking me when I'm due instead of thinking to themselves "is she pregnant or fat". Ha!

All in all...I'm feeling great!

OMG, we LOVE the OPH!!!! I'm so jealous! Can't believe all you are getting done, you are making me feel really, really lazy. LOL! And pineapple? Seriously - if we lived in the same city we would be BFF's - I have been craving pineapple, honeycrisp apples, and pears lately!

You look amazing (I mean your belly)! Thanks for the new pic!
