Crib x 2

We had a rather productive weekend. I worked at the shop on Saturday (we were busy busy!) and Jason tackled production on the closet organizers. He was so pleased with how the nursery closet came out, he decided to revamp the master walk in closet as well.

Sunday was a trip to USA Baby and Babies R Us. Okay...so we didn't start the registry yet, BUT we purchased the two cribs, the dresser and the changing table for the little nuggets. We're pretty happy with the selection. Both cribs will be able to sit side by side so the babes can chit chat to each other. The cribs also convert down to toddler beds when the time comes. Both of these places offer a "twins discount'. Basically, you buy two identical of something and the second of the two is 10% off. Hmmmm, apparently that's all the discount they can muster.

I also custom ordered the glider chair for the nursery. It will be black wood to match the other furniture and the fabric I picked out is a really great light blue. Jason and I are both a fan of blue so we figured girls, boys or one of each the nursery will have some blue in there. The glider will take 12-14 weeks to get here....quite the process, but I can imagine my late nights and mid-nights will be more comfortable because of this chair!

We went to USA Baby and became really informed over car seats and strollers. Frankly, the multiple times we've gone to Babies R Us, we never received this detailed customer service. We had 6 car seats out and consumer report sheets to look at. She demonstrated how the car seats snap into certain strollers and how the strollers fold down. It was really helpful and we walked away with a really good idea of which car seat and stroller we're going with. OH! And the bedding there was adorable. I think we'll end up registering at both places.

After all the hoopla on Sunday afternoon, I was wiped out and fell asleep watching the last half of the poor poor Vikings game. In fact, when in doubt if you want to squeeze in a nap on a Sunday, just watch the Vikings.
