15 1/2 Weeks

Today I had my 15 week doctor appointment. Nothing special...blood pressure is great, I've gained 5 pounds and we listened to the heartbeats. Dr. G says everything looks good!

It's crazy...I've gained 5 pounds, but the belly bump is turning into an actually pregnant belly. How can I be getting bigger, but only 5 pounds gained. Trust me, I'm NOT complaining, but this whole process never ceases to amaze me.

We listened to both heartbeats. Baby A was ticking away at 145 and Baby B was following at 140. We have a 50% chance we have one of each in there and 25% it's either both girls or boys. Mark your calendars, the day before Thanksgiving, November 26th we will finally find out what kind of names we have to work on! I'm so excited I just can't stand it. It's almost like having Christmas presents wrapped and laying out in the open for months before December 25th.

Something really cool happened when we were listening to Baby B's heartbeat. There was a quick loud swish noise and then the heartbeat resumed. Dr G looked at me and asked if I heard that and when I told him yes, he said it was the little nugget moving or kicking. How crazy is that?!

At 15 weeks, these babies are 4 inches long, weigh about an ounce and react to bright light. Jason has already taken a flash light to my belly to see if he can spur the babies to move so I can feel them. I try and explain it's still too early to feel them, but he doesn't care...he is just excited for that first moment where he too can feel these little guys too. He's so cute.

I totally know what you mean about looking more pregnant, but only gaining a few pounds. I think it's time for an updated belly shot, don't you? =) Oh, BTW, my email is huskrgrl22@yahoo.com - I've been meaning to give it to you, but keep forgetting. Sorry!
